Lightning Eliminator Overview
Lightning Eliminator is a non-receptive, dissipation-type direct-lightning protection system. Unlike a conventional Franklin rod, which attracts the lightning and guides the current safely to earth, the Lightning Eliminator continuously emits ion / plasma charge that neutralizes the storm electric field around the protected object. This prevents the upward leader from forming, so the strike terminates outside the protection zone — protecting the asset without ever conducting lightning current into the structure.
Working Principle
A lightning attachment begins when the charged cloud induces an opposite charge on the ground and builds an electric field strong enough to launch an upward streamer from a tall object. Traditional systems intercept that streamer; the Lightning Eliminator stops it from forming.
